M’sian Resorts to Using Pliers to Drive Myvi After Steering Wheel Gets Stolen at Kelantan Hospital

A viral video caught the attention of Malaysians recently, showing a white Perodua MyVi being driven onto a tow truck in Kota Bharu, Kelantan, with an important part of the vehicle missing: Its steering wheel!

As of the time of writing, the video has been viewed over 275,000 times and garnered more than 8,100 likes, with many commenters amused by the creative solution the driver used to steer the vehicle.

 

A man had to use a pair of pliers to drive a MyVi after the car’s steering wheel was stolen

Shared by @wan_towing, the video showed him using a pair of pliers to steer the MyVi in place of the missing steering wheel.

Slowly and steadily, @wan_towing, who offers towing services in West Malaysia, managed to safely drive the car onto the tow truck using the unconventional method.

It was then revealed that the MyVi’s window on the driver’s side was smashed, with broken glass shards visible near the car’s A-pillar and on the floorboard.

On the overlaid text of the video, @wan_towing wrote,

“Which ‘animal’ stole my steering wheel? You better confess.”

The incident took place at a hospital in Kota Bharu

In the comments section, @wan_towing elaborated that the owner of the MyVi had their car smashed and the steering wheel stolen while it was parked at a hospital in Kota Bharu.

He further revealed that the MyVi owner parked at the hospital to go to work and returned to the car only to find it as it was in the video.
