A family’s wish to commemorate their deceased loved one was granted by a local artist, leaving them touched to the core.

The artist, Zameer Pentbrush, took to his Facebook page to showcase the portrait of a family’s late father he drew onto their car, as per their request. But, he did it for free!

He wrote, “While reading the comments (of my TikTok post), I saw this one from this sister who said she wanted to gather money with her children to have her (late) father’s face drawn on their car. I didn’t know who she was or what her background is, but looking at this family’s comment, it’s obvious they really love the deceased man.”

“It hit me in the heart, maybe by drawing a picture of the deceased, I can grant their wish and make them happy as a family. So, my team agreed to fulfil their wish for free.”

A small gesture goes a long way

Zameer went on to explain that the drawing may seem like something small, but was something huge for the family.

“Maybe this is not a big deal for us, but it means a lot to those who miss him endlessly,”

“From Terengganu, we arrived in Penang yesterday (Friday, April 18) to draw the picture of the deceased man on the car. I hope the family accepts this sincere gesture from our team, which may not be much, but we’ll try our best to fulfil the family’s wishes. We didn’t expect any reward or money, just prayers for my team to be steadfast and progress for the future,” he added.

Based on the family’s reaction, it’s clear that they loved the drawing!
