A mother’s love knows no bounds, but unfortunately, we can’t always say the same about children. A Malaysian woman recently took to her Threads account to share a heartbreaking scene she witnessed before her own eyes.

A man slapped his mum just because the woman asked for a mere RM1 outside a grocery store.

The viral Threads post was shared by the owner of the grocery store herself, who said the woman appeared to be in her 60s and went to the store while her son was waiting outside. During the payment, the woman needed another RM1, to which she asked her son for the additional cash.

The man, however, was not happy with the request.

“Do you think I’m a bank?!”

“It’s good enough that I am here with you!” the man allegedly told her mum before landing his palm on her face.

According to the owner of the store, it was not only unfortunate for the woman to be treated rudely by her son, but also for the incident to be witnessed by other customers at the counter.

“The situation was tense, and everyone was shocked to see that.”

The grocery store owner then helped where she could, by allowing the unfortunate mum to take what she needed and waived the grocery bill for the elderly.

She posted her experience online in the hope of reminding others to always be polite to anyone, especially to the woman who gave birth to us.
