MOE: 10,109 SPM 2022 Candidates Obtained Straight As, National Average Grade Score Improved

After months of waiting, Sijil Pelajaran Malaysia (SPM) 2022 candidates can finally check their results today and begin to plan for their future endeavours after secondary school.

The overall results of SPM 2022 were also announced by the Education director-general Datuk Pkharuddin bin Haji Ghazali and the 2022 batch has a lot to be proud of!

In the announcement, the Ministry of Education (MOE) revealed that a total of 10,109 candidates obtained excellent grades of A+, A and A- results in all subjects.

Furthermore, the SPM 2022 candidates also obtained a better National Average Grade (GPN) compared to last year.

Last year, the GPN was 4.86 while this year, it is 4.74. Do note that a lower value indicates better candidate achievement.

Speaking of which, Pkharuddin also revealed that a total of 75,322 candidates obtained average results with at least a C grade for all subjects. For reference, SPM 2022 saw 373,394 candidates sitting for the exams.

Awesome! Congratulations to all who passed SPM 2022 with flying colours. For those that didn’t obtain the results that you hoped for, chin up as while the exam is important, it doesn’t define the future.
