35-year-old Abdul Hafiz Abu Bakar, who recently went viral for punching a female driver in Taman Satria, Senawang pleaded not guilty at the court today (April 7).
Abdul Hafiz, who is also a military personnel, punched the female driver in her head after the latter hit her daughter, who was crossing the road. He was arrested by PDRM on March 30 when he visited the police station to provide a statement. He was eventually released on bail.

According to the charge, the accused intentionally punched a 28-year-old woman in the head with his hand on March 29 around 10:20 PM. It is an offense punishable under Section 323 of the Penal Code, and upon conviction, is liable to a maximum imprisonment of one year or a fine of up to RM2,000 or both.
Abdul Hafiz pleaded not guilty before Magistrate Syed Farid Syed Ali after the charge was read out.

Deputy Public Prosecutor, Nadia Ezzati Mohd Zainal, proposed bail of RM2,000 with one surety, reported Sinar Harian and Kosmo.
Lawyer for the National Legal Aid Foundation (YBGK), Chrysandy Lai, who represents the accused, however, requested the court for a low bail as Abdul has two children, his parents, and a wife to support.
The court allowed the accused bail of RM2,000 with one surety, and the case was set for a re-mention for the submission of documents and medical reports on May 19.
Earlier, it was reported that Abdul begged the family of the victims to drop the charges, and the sister of the victim also said the man exaggerated the story by saying his daughter and wife were thrown further onto the road.
