Tan Sri Michelle Yeoh just constantly stuns and inspires, which is why we will never get over her constantly winning awards for her many, many achievements.
This time around, she has officially become the first Asian person to win the best actress award by the National Board of Review Awards.
According to Variety, she received the award for her latest blockbuster ‘Everything Everywhere All At Once’.
“I feel like I’ve entered my own metaverse. Usually when someone accepts one of these awards, they get up and say ‘I can’t tell you how much this award means to me’. But tonight, I want to tell you honestly and exactly how much this award means to me.”
“I’m so incredible proud to be the first Asian actress in 45 years to receive this honour. I hope it means that Hollywood and the filmmaking community recognises what a watershed film this is and all the things I’ve stood for and tried to accomplish in my four-decade career”, she shared after accepting the award along with her well-deserved applause.
Also awarded that night was Steven Spielberg as best director for The Fabelmans.
Congratulations, Tan Sri!
Stay tuned for more updates.
