Airport security is probably one of the scariest places in the world even when you’re completely innocent.

However, in the viral CCTV footage, an airport security personnel had allegedly stolen cash from a tourist’s wallet.

According to UNILAD, the passenger who’s known as Mr Cai discovered that the cash in his wallet was missing after he handed his bag over to a security officer so that he could go for a full-body scan.

It is said that after Mr Cai was done with the scan and was handed his bag back, he found that the 300 USD cash (RM1,407) he had in his wallet was missing.

After making a report of what had transpired, an investigation was launched into the matter. During the probe into this case, they checked the CCTV footage and found a peculiar clip.

In that clip, a female security officer can be seen putting something into her mouth and taking several swigs of water to wash it down.

When it was not enough, she was pictured using her finger to push it down as well before using a handkerchief to cover her mouth.

You can watch the clip here.

According to the Philippines Star, the particular security officer had denied that it was cash she put in her mouth and stressed that it was chocolate instead.

The female staff, her supervisor and the staff member who gave her the bottle of water were suspended, 14 other members of the team are under investigation as well.

Well, after seeing her try to swallow the alleged wad of cash, we can’t help but gag. We certainly hope that justice will prevail in this case.
