According to Singapore’s Ministry of Trade and Industry, all travellers arriving in Singapore from Malaysia via the land Vaccinated Travel Lane (VTL) is obligated to undergo the Antigen Rapid Test upon arrival.
This will take effect starting 8am on 29 November, where the first travellers arrive in the country, and this is to reduce the risk of spreading the new Covid-19 variant, B.1.1.529.
The Ministry also added that electronic payment will be required for the Antigen Rapid Test at the testing centre directly.
The land Vaccinated Travel Lane facilitates quarantine-free travel for fully vaccinated travellers commuting between Singapore and Malaysia, via the Causeway from 29 Nov 2021.
Travellers need to fulfil four basic criteria to be eligible to travel via the land VTL. That includes being a Singapore citizen, permanent resident or long-term pass holder, fully vaccinated, has proof of vaccination, and fulfilled the pre departure test, travel history and designated requirements.
