A 48-year-old man and a 43-year-old woman were found dead in the front seats of a Hyundai Atos in Semenyih on 25 August.
According to Kajang District Police Chief Assistant Commissioner Naazron Abdul Yusof, the two victims, who were acquaintances, had failed to return home for several days before they were found.

In a statement shared yesterday (26 August), Naazron said police received a report at 3:54 PM about two bodies found inside a car at a public car park opposite a supermarket in Vista Valley.
“Both victims were found in the front seats of the Hyundai Atos. An inspection at the scene found no signs of forced entry into the vehicle, while neither victim had any visible injuries or clear signs of foul play,” he said.
Further checks found that both victims had been unreachable and had not returned home for several days before they were found.
Naazron added that post-mortems on both victims were conducted at the Kajang Hospital Forensic Unit yesterday (26 August).
Cause of death still under investigation
Meanwhile, Naazron said the cause of death has yet to be determined, with police still awaiting the results of laboratory examinations.
“So far, police have not found any signs of foul play, and investigations are ongoing pending the laboratory results. Post-mortems on both victims were conducted at the Kajang Hospital Forensic Unit today,” he said.
The case is currently classified as a Sudden Death Report (SDR) while investigations continue.
He also urged anyone with information about the incident to contact investigating officer Inspector Muaz Mazlan at 017-978 8804 to assist with the investigation.
