If there’s one thing that we can’t throw away from our childhood, it has to be our bantal busuk, and everyone has their own version of it. For instance, this lady’s bantal busuk is a small piece of blanket that has been following her for the past 20 years, and her boyfriend made a big mistake by throwing it away.
On 29 December, an anonymous guy shared on a Facebook page about how he was beaten up by his girlfriend after discarding the blanket. Here’s what he wrote.
“I threw away my girlfriend’s blanket of 20 years because she goes everywhere with it every day. She even has a name for it and would talk to it!
“This is sick. I did it for her own good but she punched me and broke my tooth. Yes, she is practising martial arts.”
She then sprinted outside and chased after the garbage truck to retrieve her blanket. She burst into tears and laughter at the same time while embracing her blanket. Phewww…
“She warned me that if the blanket couldn’t be recovered, my tooth would not be the only thing that would’ve been broken that day,” he added.
This story garnered a lot of attention as many netizens are aware of the importance of a bantal busuk. The funky smell it emits reminds us of the good times and stress-free life we used to have, which we can never go back to.
“I understand your pain and loss, but I don’t sympathise with you because you asked for it,” a netizen said.
“This means that the blanket is more important than you. There’s more than one guy in this world, but there’s only one blanket in this world,” another netizen commented.
This girl is lucky as she still gets to keep her bantal busuk even after 20 years because some parents would throw it away due to hygienic reasons. Btw, how many of you still sleep with your bantal busuk at this age? Just admit it already!
