The Malaysian Dota 2 Women’s Team bagged gold at the inaugural Commonwealth Esports Championship, beating England in the competition.
The team which comprised of Tan ‘Shizuma’ Lyn Xhin, Wong ‘HG’ Wei Sian, Stephanie ‘Auroraa’ Lim, Nadrah ‘Nada’ Saufi and Bette ‘iStarx’ Chia beat the English team of Gimmick, Karenlyl, Bellemiku, Ruby and Always-Changing.
How did they do it? The Malaysian beat the English in two straight games and won the best-of-three matchup 2-0.
England took the silver medal while Singapore took bronze after beating Australia earlier.
Previously Malaysia has also won gold in the eFootball (Open) Grand Finals via Nor Haikal Noh, who defeated his Scottish opponent 2-0.
Malaysia also has another chance when the Men’s team will take on England in the Dota 2 (Open) Grand Finals today.
