Malaysian national Lee Sin Hee, was caught three times performing the obscene act while riding Singapore’s MRT on two separate occasions.

He did it to 2 women during the first occasion

Lee was in the same cabin with a woman. They were near each other. He stood near the cabin door and looked at her. He then put his hand in his pants and started pleasuring himself. The woman then alighted the train and he removed his hand from his pants.

Lee then proceeded to look for his next victim. He walked to the centre of the cabin and saw another woman. He stood in front of her. He began touching himself again. This time he used a bag that he was carrying to cover his crotch area to hide his hand movement.

A man in the same cabin saw what Lee was doing and stopped Lee. The woman moved to another cabin and Lee was forced by the man to get out of the train.

A staff member at the Lorong Chuan Station was informed of what had happened, who then called the police to report that “a man was causing public nuisance”.

An 8-year-old girl was in the cabin during the second occasion

This year on Aug 21st, Lee got into another train and faced a woman. He got aroused looking at her. He put his hand into his pants and started performing the obscene act.

Again he tried to use his bag to cover his hand movement. Little did he know, another woman saw what he was doing.

To make matters worse, this other woman was with her 8-year-old niece. So she had to sit in a way that would block her niece’s view.

Lee then completed the act and alighted train. As soon as Lee left, the woman quickly reported what happened to a train staff.

He told court that he was broke and jobless

Lee, who was not represented by a lawyer, pleaded guilty to two counts of public obscenity. He asked for a lighter sentence as he is broke and jobless.

“I have no money as I have been out of a job for the past two months. I would like to serve a default sentence”.

Lee was ordered to pay a fine of RM6,161 (SGD2,000). He was not sentenced to any jail time.

Although, just FYI, in Singapore, you can be jailed up to three months for EACH count of committing obscene acts.
