Malaysia Records New High: 1,884 Covid-19 Cases, 1,203 in Selangor Alone

Based on today’s Covid-19 update from the Ministry of Health Malaysia, Malaysia records a new high with 1,884 cases (November 23), bringing the total number of confirmed cases to 56,659. From those numbers, a total of 42,480 patients have recovered and been discharged, including today’s 883 patients.

Unfortunately, there are two reported deaths today.

Out of the 1,884 new cases today, the highest are in Selangor 1,203, of which 1,060 are from Kluster Teratai which originated from the Top Glove factory. Earlier today, Defence Minister, Datuk Seri Ismail Sabri announced that based on the Ministry of Health’s observation, the cluster recorded 1,067 positive cases TODAY! 

The remainder of the cases today are reported from Sabah with 289, KL with 196, Kedah with 36 and 41 are from Negeri Sembilan.

1,882 cases are local transmissions and 2 cases are imported cases.

The total of active cases today have gone up to 13,842 in which 115 cases are in ICU and 48 patients need breathing support.
