Recently, a talented artist made waves online as he featured his unique talent of being able to draw 4 portraits simultaneously with his 2 hands and feet.
In an interview with mStar, Mohd Saiful Baharom Shah who is a secondary school teacher said that he has always been interested in drawing and that it has been his hobby.
Following his interest, the 39-year-old started producing various artworks in unique and creative ways since opening a TikTok account back in January 2021.
“I am not an artist, but I have had an interest in creating art ever since I was a child. I started drawing seriously in early January 2021. In the beginning, I painted a lot of caricatures but did not get many views.”
“If you create interesting content, there will be more views. So, I tried to look for a variety of methods to create art so that people can see and like my work, ” he added.
Experimenting with various methods
Saiful who is from Kuala Kangsar, Perak said that he has tried a variety of methods of creating art, including using his mouth, doing it with his eyes closed and using chopsticks.
The art teacher from Sekolah Menengah Kebangsaan (SMK) Sultan Tajul Ariffin at Manong, Perak, said that he had previously drawn portraits using both of his hands and feet separately. He then had the idea of drawing portraits with both of his hands and feet at the same time.
“I drew the 4 portraits in sequence and in turns. Meaning, I drew part by part for all four of them until it eventually became a complete portrait.”
“It is not a problem for me to draw using my hands. The challenge is to draw with the feet as the grip of the pen on the feet can make it easily slip.”
“If I make a mistake, the drawing will not work. So I have to do it carefully, one by one and carefully. This painting technique is the most challenging and requires a lot of patience to produce it,” added Saiful.

According to the father of six children, he took around four hours to paint the four portraits based on the photos of the famous figures as a reference.
Rise in popularity
Netizens were impressed by Saiful’s talent. He now has over 26,000 followers on TikTok.
Saiful says that he plans to continue challenging himself to create art using unique, creative and weird methods in the coming future.
“Apart from evaluating the suggestions and requests of the followers, I also liked the challenge. I am now planning to draw four portraits using both hands and feet crossed over… meaning my right hand draws the portrait on the left and vice versa, and the same method for drawing using both feet,” he said.
