Dearest gentle reader, with the first half of season 3 of Bridgerton already out, we can barely believe that we have to wait almost a month to watch the second half. The anticipation is killing us!
With that said, among the things we love about Bridgerton is the Regency era fashion. Despite it being historically inaccurate, it’s gorgeous and we’re here for it.
Netflix Malaysia recently took to their Instagram page to showcase how a local designer, Syomirizwa Gupta, created a stunning Bridgerton-inspired dress using batik!
They wrote, “Imagine if we brought Malaysia to the world of Bridgerton. Actually, no need to imagine pun! We created a dress that’s BOTH part-batik and part-Regency. Now, someone go send this to Penelope.”
In the video showcased, Syomirizwa Gupta could be seen designing the vibrant dress on paper before starting the process of creating the masterpiece.
A model then wore the dazzling dress, to show off the gorgeous combination of batik with Regency fashion.
“Who would have imagined this collaboration? Neither did we! It was an honour to partner with Netflix Malaysia, blending Syomir’s infusion of Malaysian heritage with the elegance of the Bridgerton era,” Syomirizwa Gupta added.
Not going to lie, now we want one. We can’t even think to watch the second half of season 3 of Bridgerton if we’re not wearing a Bridgerton-inspired batik dress too!
