Klang Shooting: PDRM Confirms a 46yo M’sian Man was Shot Dead, Launches Manhunt for The Suspect

Following the shocking shooting incident in front of a motorcycle shop in Meru, Klang, earlier today, the Royal Malaysia Police (PDRM) has released a statement on the case.

Klang Utara District Police Chief ACP S. Vijaya Rao confirmed that a 46-year-old local man was killed in the incident, with his body found lifeless in the driver’s seat of a pickup truck in front of the shop.

S. Vijaya Rao was quoted by BERNAMA as saying that the police were notified of the incident at 3.37pm today.

He added,

“Upon arrival at the scene, officers found the body of a 46-year-old local man slumped sideways in the driver’s seat of a four-wheel-drive vehicle, covered in blood,”

The Klang Utara District Police Chief further asserted that the victim was confirmed dead by medical personnel at the scene.

The victim’s body has since been sent to Tengku Ampuan Rahimah Hospital for a post-mortem.

 

A manhunt for the suspect has been launched

The case is currently being investigated under Section 302 of the Penal Code for murder. Furthermore, Harian Metro reported that a manhunt for the suspect is now underway.

S. Viajaya Rao urged those with information to contact the nearest police station or investigating officer ASP M. Sathiyaseelan at 012-5197913 to assist with the investigation.
