A male teacher in a KL secondary school has been accused of sexually harassing multiple male students in different ways, including by inviting them for a shower.
In multiple #MeToo posts on Facebook by a local filmmaker, Orz Tree shared that he had received many private messages from former school students who shared their sides of the story. One of the victims, whom Orz described as “Friend A”, said that when he was 15 years old, he was taken to a room at the teacher’s tuition centre that had a bed and a bottle of lubricant on it, where he was asked to touch the teacher’s private part.

“The teacher told Friend A that he was an adult, so he could control himself and not ejaculate.”
The teacher would also allegedly ask other students to masturbate to identify if “they had active sperm.”
The students believed the teacher was helping them out of kindness
Orz pointed out that many of the victims obeyed the teacher because they thought it was sex education. At that time, they did not understand sexual harassment.

During sleepover activities, the teacher is also said to have asked the male students to join him in the shower, where he would check the students’ private parts under the pretence of “making sure they were well aware of cleaning their genitals.” According to Friend A, the teacher used an earpick to clean one of the students’ private parts as a demonstration.
Sadly, many of the students thought this was part of the tradition, and back then, they believed the teacher was “really helping out of kindness.” As the victims grew up, they slowly realised that the matter was nowhere near normal.

“We will not agree to a private settlement”
According to the information that Orz got from Friend A, the teacher is a married man with children and is highly respected at the school. The teacher would also openly share his experience of having sexual intercourse with his wife in the name of “sex education.”
“At the time being, we’re not going to reveal the name of the school. We’ll take legal action but one thing’s for sure, we will not agree to a private settlement.”
“We’re also looking for past victims who are willing to share their stories.”

In a Facebook post last night (May 25), Orz said that more victims have emerged and a police report has been lodged. Orz also urged other victims to speak up against the crime.
