A 22-year-old Malaysian influencer and TikToker, known as CEO Batu, has come under fire after screenshots allegedly showing him sexually harassing a minor went viral.
Malaysian rapper Caprice recently shared on his Instagram that the mother of the 14-year-old victim had reached out to him and asked him to circulate the screenshots. In the WhatsApp conversation, CEO Batu—who had just been discharged from the hospital—asked the minor if she wanted to see his scars near his appendix. The minor responded affirmatively.
The TikToker continued to show the teenager the mentioned picture, which included his private part.
After a few minutes without a response, CEO Batu asked the minor if she was angry or uncomfortable. The teenager replied that it was a bit unpleasant, prompting CEO Batu to apologise and promise never to do it again.
“It slipped my mind to crop that part out”
In another screenshot shared by Caprice, CEO Batu also sent an apology to the teenager’s mother, claiming the picture was originally meant for his girlfriend and that he had forgotten to crop out the private part before sending it to the victim.
In the message, CEO Batu also pleaded with the mother not to take legal action, saying that if he were imprisoned, all his hard work would be lost. He added that he has elderly family members to support at home.
In the latest update from the Royal Malaysia Police (PDRM), authorities confirmed they had received a report on the matter. CEO Batu turned himself in at the Gombak police station on May 23.
He is currently being remanded for four days and is under investigation under Section 15(a) of the Sexual Offences Against Children Act 2017.
