There are tons of Malaysians out there who are living difficult lives and yet are striving to improve their livelihoods with the capabilities and resources that they have.
Seeing how an elderly aunty in a wheelchair is working hard to sell snacks outside a bank in Menglembu, Perak, a Malaysian decided to help promote her small business on Facebook.
The kind Malaysian, Bhaascar Rav, decided to use social media to call on residents of Ipoh to support the aunty by buying her delicious snacks!
He wrote, “Dear people of Ipoh, a humble request from me. If you come across the Menglembu area, do drop by the Menglembu Public Bank and support this aunty. She is selling some snacks such as kacang putih, while sitting in a wheelchair, for only RM3 per packet.”
Bhaascar went on to encourage people to support the aunty as RM3 might be a small amount for us, but collectively, the money can assist with the aunty’s livelihood.
“The contributions from all of you might help her with her living and medical expenses. I did my small part, which is as much as I can afford. She is selling her snacks just at the entrance of the Public Bank ATM. May Lord Murugan bless her and her family,” he added.
His post has garnered over 1,200 shares as of the time of writing.
Speaking to WORLD OF BUZZ, Baashcar shared that his post is merely a small gesture to champion the aunty.
“That day, coincidentally, I had gone to the bank and I saw her. So, I just did whatever I could do for her lah,” he said.
So, if you’re in Menglembu and you’re craving for a crunchy snack, do pay this aunty a visit and support her business.
