Kind M’sian Restaurant Owner Treats Residents of a Penang Rehab Centre to Meals & a Fun Day Out!

Residents of a rehabilitation centre in Penang had the day of their lives when a restaurant owner decided to take them out to jalan-jalan cari makan.

The Penang Kini Facebook page showcased a video of the joyous situation, where 50 people of the Permatang Damar Laut Community-based Rehabilitation Centre (PPDK) were brought around town by the owner of Nasi Kandar Beratur 786.

They wrote, “As many as 50 people from the Permatang Damar Laut Community-based Rehabilitation centre (PPDK), including teachers and the family members of trainers, (were brought out) to enjoy a day full of merriment, sponsored by Datuk Kadhar Shah, owner of Nasi Kandar Beratur Restaurant 786 – Bayan Lepas Summerskye, who is a philanthropic businessman.”

“With the use of a special bus, they were taken to explore interesting destinations such as Bukit Bendera, Batu Feringgi, and Padang Kota, while enjoying a delicious rojak sotong meal.”

 

On top of the day out, Datuk Kadhar Shah also contributed financial aid to assist with the needs of the rehabilitation centre’s residents.

“In addition, cash donations were also given, reflecting on how noble his heart is. Datuk Kadhar Shah’s concern (for the residents) really cheered up the heavenly children present and gave them wonderful memories,” they added.
