Young Syefura Othman the Ketari assemblyman has confirmed that she has been instructed to pay the compound for violating the CMCO standard operating procedures (SOPs) in Selangor recently.
She said that she will be paying the compound within the near future. Besides that, the police also informed that the case against her is considered closed.
Before this, Young Syefura also apologized on her Twitter account on 9 November. Following that, she is no longer active on Twitter.
She Tweeted:
“I apologize if my actions violate SOP Covid-19. I do not use my advantage as an elected representative to move within Selangor, my state of residence. I am willing to be investigated by the authorities if my actions violate any SOP Covid-19. Thank you”
She apologised again while debating the Supply Enactment Bill (Budget 2021) at the Pahang DUN sitting at Wisma Sri Pahang on 17 November, which was tabled by Menteri Besar Datuk Seri Wan Rosdy Wan Ismail.
She apologised for violating the CMCO SOPs which to some extent may affect the Pahang State Assembly (DUN).
“I also apologize to all the people of Pahang for the mistake that I’ve done” she added.
Previously, Young Syefura had uploaded a picture of herself on social media with four of her friends who celebrated her birthday at Pantai Bagan Lalang during, but then she deleted the picture as a sign of apology and admitted her mistake.
Hopefully, something was learnt from this ordeal.
