It’s apparently ‘raining indoors’ at the Kuala Lumpur International Airport (KLIA) this monsoon season, as a netizen, Jolyne Lim, took to her XiaoHongShu account to showcase a major ceiling leak there on December 8 (Sunday).
She wrote, “It’s raining indoors at KLIA 1. When I passed by here, I noticed such an exaggerated water leak.”
In her video, water can be seen, well, raining down from the ceiling above and pooling on KLIA’s floor, right next to a Chanel store.
Netizens were very amused by this and shared their humourous takes on the matter.
“KLIA’s Terminal 1 has a waterfall just like Singapore’s Changi Airport!”
“This is the second largest airport waterfall in Southeast Asia.”
“It’s a ‘natural’ waterfall.”
“Not every advanced airport can do this, this is the pride of Malaysia.”
According to a report by Sin Chew Daily, this isn’t the first time a major leak has occurred in KLIA as last July, a leak due to heavy rains caused Gate 6 of KLIA Terminal 1 to temporarily close.
