JPJ: Heavy Vehicles To Be Banned On Roads This Coming Chinese New Year - WORLD OF BUZZ

Heavy vehicle drivers, do pay attention to the following details!

According to The Star, heavy transport vehicles weighing 7,500kg or more will be banned from using all roads during the coming Chinese New Year celebrations.

The Road Transport Department (JPJ) said in a statement that the ban will take effect on February 2, 3, 4, 9 and 10. Take note, guys!

Heavy vehicles that are in this category include lorries carrying construction materials such as cement, gravel, sand, steel as well as soil. Cranes, low-loaders, bulldozers and steamrollers are also banned from the roads during the abovementioned period.

JPJ confirms that the ban for second category vehicles will be imposed from midnight until 6am.

Second category vehicles such as container and cargo carrying electronic or electrical goods and industrial materials along with empty containers and cargo lorries are permitted to use all roads on return trips.

Any third category vehicles involving mobile cranes and cement mixer trucks will be prohibited from using all roads from 6pm to 6am with a travel distance of not more than 25km from the construction areas during this period.
