A 10-year-old boy is claiming to have been slapped and punched by a teacher at his school, leading to bruises on his face.

According to a report by Berita Harian, the operations manager of the daycare centre that the boy goes to was informed that the boy had been slapped and punched by a teacher, which allegedly happened at a national school in Johor Bahru.

The operations manager explained that the boy was slapped and punched on his right cheek by a male teacher, allegedly after the boy had a disagreement with another student in the computer lab of the school.

“The incident caused the victim to experience pain and bruising on the right side of the cheek. I feel it is inappropriate for a teacher to act like that towards school students,” the operations manager added.

A police report was lodged at the Larkin Police Station yesterday (December 5).
