Tickets for the concerts of Jay Chou, the king of Chinese pop music, have always been hard to come by, with tickets for his upcoming concert in Kuala Lumpur being sold out as soon as they were released.

However, fans who have not gotten their hands on a ticket may still have a chance to see the star. He recently announced on Instagram that he would give away concert tickets on the condition that fans help find a rare tennis racket he had never seen before.

In his post, Jay Chou said he has been obsessed with finding all kinds of weird and rare tennis rackets on the Internet.

“If you see any great, unseen, or super limited edition tennis rackets on the Internet, please post them on your homepage @ me, and then delete them. I will come to see if there are any I haven’t seen, and select them to give away concert tickets. What do you think?”

He also humorously said, “This post has not been approved by the company. But I don’t care. No matter what city you are in, the concert tickets will be given away. You can see that I’m going crazy looking for a racket!”

Chou also specifically said that he has seen a lot of rackets, so there is no need to show him various old antique rackets, and customised ones don’t count.

Jay Chou has been obsessed with playing tennis in recent years and has even once said that he believes he could’ve been a pro tennis player if he had pursued the sport as a kid.

Do you think you stand a chance?
