Italy has officially overtaken China for the most number of deaths due to Covid-19 with 5,322 new cases added in just one day.

According to CNN, Italy now records a total of 41,035 cases, just about half the number of China’s 81,120.

The country also records 3,405 deaths at the time of writing which is higher than China’s 3,249 death toll.

This makes Italy the deadliest centre of the Covid-19 pandemic outbreak.

Meanwhile, Malaysia has been identified as the third highest for the number of Covid-19 cases in Asia and the highest in Southeast Asia.

With 110 new cases added on 19th March 2020, the total number now stands at 900 and is expected to rise in the days to come.

To stop this number from rising, we all need to do our part and #juststayhome or the situation could become really bad. While the medical team are working day and night to care for those infected, we can help them by not going out when we don’t have a valid reason not to and to look out for the elderly.

We can do this, Malaysians!
