The highly anticipated IOI City Mall Phase 2 will be opening its doors for patronage on Thursday, 25th August 2022. There will be interesting programmes lined up for all. Here’s a glimpse of what awaits you on this exciting day, so don’t miss it!
IOI City Mall will be kicking off the day of festivities with a spectacular lion dance performance by Kun Seng Keng Lion and Dragon Dance Association on the Lower Ground-East Court at 12.15pm. The performance will feature a group of 101 lions to ceremoniously welcome its patrons and usher in good fortune. These 101 lions represent the abundance of activities that one can indulge in at IOI City Mall, the largest mall in Malaysia. Don’t miss these thrilling acrobatic lion dance performances on high poles, where the lions will be performing from pole to pole with elegance and swift movements. These lions will then tour the mall.
Besides the thrill of lion dances, the opening of IOI City Mall Phase 2 continues its line-up of exciting performances with a Malaysian drum symphony performance. This musical performance will combine drums and percussion from the country’s three main races with the 1Malaysia concept. It symbolizes Malaysians living harmoniously in a multicultural society and cultivates the spirit of ‘Keluarga Malaysia Teguh Bersama’ towards the upcoming 65th Merdeka celebration.
Move along to the AlFresco dining arcade of The Symphony Walk on the Ground Floor East, and catch a glimpse of the beautiful dancing waves of the aurora lights display in the evening. This stunning light show will be accompanied by a three-piece live band performance to create a lively atmosphere.
CLUB IOI ‘Xperience’ Roadshow
In conjunction with the Phase 2 opening, CLUB IOI will be offering exclusive deals for its members starting from 25th August to 18th September 2022. Here’s what you can expect as a member:
- Earn up to 7 X CLUB IOI points when spending at any participating outlets
- Receive an additional RM3 e-voucher for each transaction (limited to three e-vouchers per day per member)
- Receive RM10 and RM5 e-vouchers to be redeemed at participating IOI City Mall outlets
- Take part in interactive games and contests as well at its roadshow located on Lower Ground Floor (opposite Harvey Norman) to receive 400 CLUB IOI points.
Additionally, if you spend a minimum of RM101 on a single receipt from 25th August to 30th September 2022, you can redeem 1,000 CLUB IOI points or collect a minimalist canvas bag with a minimum spend of RM250 on a single receipt from any outlets in IOI City Mall Phase 2 only. MBX Campaign by Bryk Arts
IOI City Mall welcomes Bryk Arts in collaboration with the Mural Building Experience, or MBX Campaign, scheduled from 25th August to 18th September 2022. It is a project that unites Malaysians to work together in building the largest brick mural to commemorate Malaysia’s 65th Merdeka celebration in support of the ‘Keluarga Malaysia Teguh Bersama’ aspiration.
On 16th September 2022, shoppers, tenants and the management team each will contribute a piece of art and assemble them like pieces of a jigsaw to reveal a brick mural measuring 30 meters long and 2 meters tall along the walkway on Ground Floor-East Court to celebrate Malaysia Day. Bryk Art will also have other items on showcase at the MBX, which includes MyBi and its entourage of MyBi Memes, amongst other new popular pop icons debuting for the first time in public. You have to see it to believe it!
Itsu Syoook Sewa Celebration with Shila Amzah
With more than 20 years of experience in the massage chair industry, Itsu now presents its rent-to-own program called the ‘Syoook Sewa’. Hence, the ‘Syoook Sewa Celebration’ on Friday, 26th August 2022 will be featuring loads of promotions, redemptions and giveaways as well as the up-close and personal interview with its brand ambassador, Shila Amzah.
