The patient was reportedly undergoing practical training at Tesco Extra Mutiara Damansara when the management was told by the Ministry of Health (MOH) that the individual tested positive for the virus, as said in a statement found on their Facebook page.
“Tesco is working with MOH to ensure the health and safety of its colleagues who may have been in close contact (with the patient). In the meantime, Tesco is taking proactive measures to disinfect and deep clean the store overnight as a precaution,” said the statement adding that they will reopen the branch at 10 am today (15 October).
Tesco stressed that the safety of their colleagues and customers remains their priority and extensive measures are put in place across all stores to help keep everyone safe. They also encouraged customers to reach out to Tesco’s Customer Helpline should they have any questions regarding this matter.
Stay safe and vigilant of the cases around you!
