Even since the 1MDB corruption case picked up its pace, our former prime minister Datuk Seri Najib Razak has been criticised constantly by the public and his political rivals.
Besides that, Najib has also been the topic of many comedy stand-up shows and recently, one comedian has come up with a parody music video which was inspired by Najib’s latest campaign – Malu Apa Bossku.
If you aren’t aware, the Malu Apa Bossku campaign is Najib’s latest political campaign which is often illustrated with a caricature of him wearing a hoodie and pair of jeans whilst sitting on a motorcycle.
According to Malaysiakini, Allan Perera reckoned that the Malu Apa Bossku campaign is quite hysterical and it inspired him to “give it a comedic twist”. He was quoted as saying,
“It is just satire… to look at things in a humorous manner. We need comedy to balance the animosity. So we thought it would be funny, but at the same time, thought-provoking as well.”
Allan shared that the video titled Malaysia Got No Shame Shame Shame was recorded on 15 March 2019. He said,
“The recording was done in about six hours. We spent 20 hours editing. I conceived the idea and penned the lyrics a week before.”
FYI, the song carries the tune of the ’60s song, Chain of Fools by Aretha Franklin. You can watch the music video here:

If you didn’t know, Allan Perera is a renowned Malaysian comedian and he’s known for appearing on Comedy Court with his partner Indi Nadarajah. On top of that, this isn’t the first time Allan has done a political-based comedy because, previously, he and his partner have acted in a comedic skit named Do The “NAJIB”.
Here’s the video of the skit which shows two MPs having a conversation in parliament:
