An Indonesian woman is expressing shock over how people behave at buffets in Malaysia, as she’s surprised that no one is battling over food here.
Taking to her TikTok account, viefriyani, shared the difference between people at buffets in Indonesia versus people at buffets in Malaysia.

She wrote, “If I didn’t live in Malaysia, I wouldn’t know that there’s no fighting over buffet food here.”
“Just my personal experience, when I went back to Indonesia, with my class at (a popular hotel), the breakfast buffet was empty and not refilled. I was speechless, maybe we were just unlucky at that time. People were chaotic, they didn’t consider the queue. They’d just cut queue and take the food.”
This led many to point out how considerate Malaysians are of others

“For Malaysian people, from a young age our parents have taught us to ‘think of those behind us‘ when it comes to food.”

“We’re always ‘thinking of those behind us‘ even if we’ve paid for it.”

“In Malaysia, there is a term, ‘think of those behind you‘, so as to let everyone have an equal taste.”

“We were raised with the phrase ‘don’t take everything, remember that there are others behind you‘.”
