“I’m reborn as an old father” Tony Fernandes Welcomes Newborn Daughter, Announces It On LinkedIn

“I’m a father again, have two most amazing children, and now we have a third. Aaliyah Ena, welcome to the world.”

A newborn’s arrival is certainly something beautiful for any married couple and most would choose to share the happy moment on their social media. However, Tan Sri Tony Fernandes decided to do it in a slightly different manner. On 3 October, he decided to welcome his newborn, who has been given the name Aaliyah Ena Fernandes, via his LinkedIn profile with 2 photos attached which can be seen here.

In the post, Tony Fernandes, one of the most well known Malaysian entrepreneurs and the Chief Executive Officer of Air Asia Group, expressed how blessed he is to be given something good in the midst of the pandemic.

He also included additional details of his newborn,

  • Born: 14 August 2021 – 7:22 AM
  • 3.16 kilos

At the time of writing, the post has garnered more than 20,000 likes and more than nearly 2,000 comments, in which most of them wishing Tony and the family their heartfelt congratulations.

Many may not know that Aaliyah Ena has a mix of Korean ethnicity, as her mother, Puan Sri Chloe Kim is a Korean who moved to Kuala Lumpur in 2017 following her wedding to Tony, as reported by Prestige. The wedding was held in Cote d’Azur, France in October 2017.
