“I believe the rakyat are nauseous with the game of power and politics” Dr Maszlee Malik Leaves Parti Pejuang

In a Twitter post, former Education Minister and MP for Simpang Renggan, Dr Maszlee Malik announced that he will be withdrawing himself from Parti Pejuang Tanah Air. This statement comes after the party released a statement regarding the 2021 Budget to be analysed before any decision were to be made.

The statement came from four notable MPs which included, Tun Dr Mahathir Mohammad, Dato’ Seri Mukhriz, Dato’ Wira Amiruddin and Datuk Dr Shahruddin. Netizens questioned the absence of Dr Maszlee which is why he released his own personal statement.

In his statement, he said that he wanted to fully concentrate his efforts in helping Malaysians that have been affected by the Covid-19 pandemic especially those in Simpang Renggam and Malaysians in general. He added that he will continue his efforts in movements to changes in education as an independent Parliament member.

Maszlee said that his decision was made based on the facts garnered through detailed observation and field research on the aspirations and needs of the rakyat.

“I believe the rakyat have grown nauseous with the game of power and politics by the elite Politikus, I believe the rakyat is in need of politicians who focus on supporting and truly solving the adversaries they are currently facing.”

He ended his statement by pleading that the pandemic will end soon so that our lives will return to normal.
