Relationships are all about poking light-hearted fun at your partners and having a good laugh, and this British husband did just that when he brought his wife out for Christmas lunch only to give her a  “Spousal Annual Performance Review” for 2020!

According to Mail Online, Sophie Stares took to Facebook to share how her husband, Chris Stares, had presented her with a two-page report rating her performance on 18 different parameters with ranks from ‘excellent’ to ‘needs improvement’.

The report also included a “reviewer’s remarks & recommendations” section where he wrote: “Despite a difficult year, Sophie Stares has managed to maintain a strong work ethic and succeeded in keeping the house and family ticking over well.”

“There have been times where conflict resolution and cooperation have lapsed but this has often been accepted by senior management as understandable given the unusual circumstances we have found ourselves in during 2020.”

Chris also admitted to second-guessing his decision to give his wife the report but was glad that he ended up doing so anyway.

“I wasn’t quite sure how it’d go. If she’d had a good day, she’d see the humour in it, but if it was a bad day it was going to be a really awkward lunch. Luckily it was a good day,” he explained to Mail Online.

Speaking about the report, Sophie joked her partner was ‘wise to do the review in public’, but she does admit she was flattered to see some of her hard work being graded ‘excellent’.

Well, what do you think? Would you ever do this to your partner?
