So, with Pakatan Harapan (PH) wasting no time and getting to work, Prime Minister Tun Dr Mahathir Mohamad has delivered on the government’s promise to form their cabinet within the first week in power.
In a press release from the Prime Minister, 14 names have been submitted to the Yang di-Pertuan Agong as members of Malaysia’s brand new cabinet.
Just yesterday (17th May), Tun Dr Mahathir announced that the ministers will likely be sworn in by Monday (21st May) if possible.
Here are our ministers;
1. Prime Minister: Tun Dr Mahathir Mohamad (PPBM)
2. Deputy Prime Minister & Women & Family Development: Dr Wan Azizah (PKR)
3. Defence: Haji Mohamad bin Sabu (Amanah)
4. Education: Dr Maszlee Malik (PPBM)
5. Finance: Lim Guan Eng (DAP)
6. Home Affairs: Tan Sri Muhyiddin Yassin (PPBM)
7. Health: Dr. Haji Dzulkefly bin Ahmad (Amanah)
8. Rural Development: Puan Rina Harun (PPBM)
9. Economic Affairs: Dato’ Seri Mohamed Azmin bin Ali (PKR)
10. Housing & Local Government: Datuk Zuraida Kamaruddin (PKR)
11. Transport: Anthony Loke Siew Fook (DAP)
12. Communications & Multimedia: Gobind Singh Deo (DAP)
13. Human Resource: Kulasegaran s/o V.Murugeson (DAP)
14. Agriculture & Agro-Based Industry: Haji Salahuddin Ayub (Amanah)
So, these are the ministers that will be serving us for the next five years, Malaysians! Let’s hope they do their jobs well and work hard to build a better Malaysia!
