Your sacrifice, especially that’s done without any expectation of any reward, sometimes may turn out to be something that brings you fortune or fame.

Hardcore Harimau Malaya fan Derric Gan went viral on Friday (January 26) after he sold his motorcycle to fund himself to go to Qatar to watch the team live. Since then, many have offered him a new bike, and other eateries are offering him free food and beverages.

Last night (January 27)), Derrick’s arrival in KLIA was welcomed with lots of cheers from the people, but what he did not foresee was his brand-new bike that was there waiting for him. In a Facebook post by Malaysian radio station Era, Derrick received a new motorcycle from Modenas worth RM5,400.

Derrick left Malaysia with his assets being sold and returned home with something new and better.

“Derrick, do continue your support for Harimau Malaya and become the 12th player for the team. Long live Harimau Malaya!”

According to another report by Kosmo, Derrick was reportedly allowed to speak to the national goalkeeper, Ahmad Syihan.

Derrick, who hails from Malacca, said he did not expect to go viral for his sacrifice. Speaking to the media friends, he said he was only aware of his viral crying image in Qatar after his wife and family informed him.

Congratulations, Derrick! Long live Harimau Malaya!
