Nigel Ng, better known by his persona Uncle Roger, launched Fuiyoh! It’s Uncle Roger at MyTOWN Shopping Centre in Kuala Lumpur, followed by branches at IPC in Mutiara Damansara, Pavilion Kuala Lumpur, and several other locations.
However, following the opening of the IPC outlet in 2024, it was recently announced that the branch located on the G-27 floor has closed for good.

Uncle Roger’s restaurant in IPC shuts its door
The closure was revealed by the Malaysia Shopping Mall Facebook page, with a post stating that the restaurant has now been replaced by an eyewear shop.
“Admin’s favourite Uncle Roger fried rice restaurant at IPC Shopping Centre is gone, replaced by an eyewear shop. Looks like I’ll have to hunt for fried rice at a hawker centre instead,” the admin joked.
Despite the closure of this specific outlet, fans can still enjoy Uncle Roger’s fried rice at remaining locations, including MyTOWN Shopping Centre, Pavilion Kuala Lumpur, Central i-City Mall, KLIA2, and Mid Valley Southkey.

From viral sensation to restaurateur
For those unfamiliar with his background, Nigel rose to fame through his character Uncle Roger, a stereotypical middle-aged Asian man who critiques food, primarily on YouTube.
We previously reported that Nigel had announced a hiatus from content creation to focus on opening his debut restaurant in his home country, Malaysia.
“Never in my life did I expect this to become real. Four years ago, I was just a comedian making silly videos in my apartment. And now, I have a fried rice restaurant that is going to get roasted by everyone. HAIYAA,” he remarked at the time.
