Works Minister Datuk Seri Alexander Nanta Linggi said the decision was agreed upon at yesterdayâs Cabinet meeting (6 February), in line with the governmentâs efforts to safeguard unity and the well-being of Malaysians of various races and religions.
âThe discount will be implemented from 12:01 AM on 14 February until 11:59 PM on 15 February.”
âIt is hoped that this initiative will help ease travel costs for those returning to their hometowns or going on holiday in conjunction with the festival and ahead of Ramadan,â he said.
These toll plazas are NOT involved in the discount
The discount applies to Class 1 private vehicles at all toll plazas nationwide, as well as Class 2 vehicles at the Penang Bridge.
However, it does not apply to national border toll plazas, namely the Sultan Iskandar Building toll on the North-South Expressway and the Tanjung Kupang Toll Plaza on the MalaysiaâSingapore Second Link.
Alexander said the selected dates were aimed at avoiding traffic congestion, optimising highway operations, and facilitating better coordination of additional logistics at lay-bys and Rest and Relax (R&R) areas.

He advised highway users to plan their journeys carefully, adhere to speed limits and road signage, and utilise the Malaysian Highway Authorityâs (LLM) MyPLUS-TTA and TuJu Highway Navigation applications for travel time recommendations, as reported by Berita RTM.
He also encouraged the public to check current traffic conditions via LLMâs official channels or contact the traffic management centres of relevant agencies for the latest updates.
