Us humans are not perfect. We make mistakes all the time. However, what redeems us is our ability to feel remorse and apologise.
Recently, a young motorcyclist who scolded a driver in the heat of the moment has apologised for his audacity.
The viral video
Earlier, in a viral video (which now has more than half a million views), Firdaus Yahaya and his wife gave a signal and were preparing to turn at a junction when a boy ran his motorcycle into the back of their car.
The boy then proceeded to scold Firdaus’ wife, “What is this! Give me a signal, sis.”
Outraged by the boy’s comment, she shouted, “I gave the signal that I am turning in!”
The video ended with the boy, still angry, claiming he did not see the signal.
Without a conclusion, the video went viral, with netizens condemning the boy and being amused at how one can even get scolded for doing the right thing.
Clearing the air
Noticing that the boy was getting a lot of flak online, Firdaus made a Facebook post to clarify that the viral video showing the boy scolding his wife was just one part of the story.
After the incident, Firdaus’ wife immediately talked to the boy by the roadside.
“Actually, there are other parts where the boy apologised. It’s just that only 1 part of the video was shared previously. Pity the boy for becoming the victim. My wife and I have resolved the issue that night,” explained Firdaus.
“These are parts 2,3 and 4 of the boy saying sorry after my wife talked to him in front of the car. Everything is resolved,” added Firdaus, who hopes that that specific video of the boy scolding his wife will no longer be circulated on its own as it does not tell the whole story.

Regardless, it is good that the matter was resolved with civility. Would it not be great to settle all road disputes without violence and aggression?
