Viruses don’t discriminate, and they sure do not nitpick who they will infect. Whether if you are young or old, famous or not, rich or poor, everyone is still at risk of being infected. This is especially true of the Covid-19 coronavirus, which has since become a global epidemic from the very beginning of this year, infecting even the likes of Hollywood stars, most prominently Tom Hanks.
But it doesn’t stop there. In a recent development, it has been revealed that the world’s most famous football star, Cristiano Ronaldo, has imposed a self-quarantine on himself after one of his teammates tested positive for Covid-19, according to The New York Post.
The incident occurred after Ronaldo played for his team Juventus on Sunday at a closed-doors match in Italy. After the match, Ronaldo shared a locker room with his team, one of which included Daniele Rugani, who tested positive for Covid-19. In a photo that was shared over Instagram, the men can be seen grouped closely together in the locker room for a celebratory photo.
At this point in time, Cristiano Ronaldo has imposed a self-quarantine on himself in Portugal until it has been declared safe to leave.
Juventus Football Club has since activated all the isolation procedures required by law.
So with that being said, it’s worth to make sure you’re taking all the necessary precautions now to stay safe!
