We have some good news for all ice-cream lovers out there!
Earlier this week, FamilyMart announced their new sofuto flavour – the Mediterranean sea salt – and we absolutely loved it. We thought the salty and sweet combo worked perfectly together!
After releasing the above-mentioned flavour, we thought FamilyMart was done tantalising our tastebuds for the month, and boy, were we wrong!

This is because FamilyMart has whipped up another variation and that is – wait for it – combo swirl of Matcha and Mediterranean Sea Salt. Woo, such an interesting combo!
In their Facebook post, FamilyMart wrote,
“Have the best of both worlds when you taste the combo swirl of Match + Mediterranean Sea Salt ?!”
However, do keep in mind that this combo – which you can get for RM2.90 – is only available in selected stores but unfortunately, their FB page didn’t specify the location of the stores. Psst…they are available in the FamilyMart in Mid Valley!

At this point, you might be wondering about how well the flavours of the interesting combination work together. Well, we at WOB have tried it and needless to say, we were pleasantly surprised at how the two flavours complemented each other.
In fact, the Match and Sea Salt were perfectly blended and didn’t overpower each other. The salty, bitter and sweet taste of the sofuto excites our taste buds and at the same time, doesn’t confuse our tongues!
