“Facekini” is back!
Sunscreen products are popping up on the streets of cities such as Beijing and Shanghai, as temperature in China rises. Some cities even hit 40 degrees Celsius or more.
With that, a type of UV-blocking mask, which covers the face and neck below the eyes, accompanied by accessories like hats, jackets, cooling sleeves or sunglasses has become people’s favourite. This is referred to as “Facekini”, a combination of the words “face” and “bikini”.
According to BBC News, a shop in Yiwu, China has sold nearly 300,000 of its “facekini” products that come with a cap.
This Facekini has garnered different reactions from netizens. Some think it is cool and convenient, while some find the looks of it hilarious.
