Employee At Jaya One Offices Tests Positive For Covid-19, Potential Close Contacts To Be Tested

An employee at one of the Jaya One Offices has tested positive for Covid-19 after getting the virus from her parents.

In a statement released on Facebook, Jaya One states that the employee, who works at Block J, 129 Offices, Level 5, tested positive on 8 November.

The employee works in an office with 14 other colleagues of which two of them live in a condominium in Block R1 where three other occupants live.

All 14 colleagues have since been tested for Covid-19 with five testing negative and the other nine awaiting results. All of them are now under strict home quarantine.

Jaya One has also informed the public on the whereabouts of the Covid-19-positive individual.

On 28 October, the employee went to her office at Block J-129 Offices for work.

  • The person came by motorcycle and parked at the motorcycle area near the newly constructed OSK link bridge.
  • The person then proceeded to Lift Lobby J2 at Level P2 and went to Level 5.
  • The person only used the toilet at Level 5 at her office and visited her colleague’s residence at Block R1 of the condo.
  • The person did not go out and had lunch inside her office.
  • Upon finishing work at her office, she used the same route to return home.

On 2 November, the employee repeated the same routine as she did on 28 October and on 8 November, she received her test results which confirmed she tested positive for Covid-19.

Jaya One has since conducted deep cleaning and sanitisation of the common areas within 129 Offices and have painstakingly traced 19 people and interviewed them.
