The man who uttered obscenities against a woman in a video that has been going viral on Twitter was arrested by the Royal Malaysia Police (PDRM) today (12 April 2023).
According to a report by Kosmo, the Port Dickson District Police Chief Superintendent Aidi Sham Mohamed shared that the 38-year-old man was arrested in relation to the incident after they had received a report from the victim.
“The initial screening of the suspect’s urine came up negative. The suspect has no record of past offences and is currently being detained at the Port Dickson Police Station for further investigation,”
“The police have confirmed that they have received a police report from the victim and the case is being investigated under Section 509 of the Penal Code and Section 14 of the Minor Offenses Act 1955 for defamation and uttering obscene words in public,” he said.
The man had gone viral in a video on Twitter as he had blocked the victim’s car from leaving a parking lot while uttering obscene words towards the victim for recording him.
This incident took place in front of a building in Springhill Town, Port Dickson at 6:30pm yesterday (11 April 2023).
