An abandoned piece of luggage in Central Java, Indonesia, shocked the nearby residents after they found out what was inside.
On Thursday (January 23), one of the residents stumbled upon the luggage and was shocked to find the dismembered body of a woman in it.

Through fingerprint recognition, the Indonesian authorities confirmed the identity of the deceased woman – 29-year-old Uswatun Khasanah, a single mother with two children. The police also confirmed that Uswatun’s head and legs were NOT in the luggage, and they have yet to be located.
Post-mortem revealed that Uswatun died due to suffocation, likely caused by strangling.

In another updated news this morning (January 26), the Indonesian police revealed that a suspect has been apprehended in Tulungagung, about 3 hours away from Ngawi, where Uswatun’s dismembered corpse was found.
Uswatun worked as a cosmetic salesperson in Tulungangung and only returned to her hometown in Ngawi once every week.

Police also confirmed that the suspect had prior criminal records, including the act of impersonating a car salesman. Following the suspect’s arrest, Uswatun’s head was also found in Trenggelek, about an hour away from Tulungagung, reported Harian Surya.
As of now, the suspect is being detained by the police, and initial investigations revealed that the murder was committed in a hotel in Kediri, less than an hour away from Tulungagung.
