Did you know that there is a Bank Negara Museum and Art Gallery in KL that you can visit for free? What’s more, you can even be surrounded by tons of Ringgit bills here!
The Bank Negara Museum and Art Gallery is located in Sasana Kijang, and is open from Tuesday to Sunday, from 10am to 5pm. Here, you can learn about Malaysian Ringgit notes and other world currency notes through its six permanent galleries.
The galleries are divided into six themes, namely Children’s Gallery, the Bank Negara Malaysia Gallery, Economics Gallery, Islamic Finance Gallery, and Numismatics Gallery and Art Gallery. There is a “money tunnel” in the museum, allowing you to take pictures with a million worth of old and new money.
Besides, there are also interactive games which are suitable for kids to learn about money. There is also an art gallery. This family-friendly museum offers free entrance, and parking is available at underground of the museum.
Do note that you can’t bring bags to the museum. You can secure your bag in the provided lockers.
