As the popular saying goes, promises are meant to be broken. However, in situations involving many people’s lives, it is perhaps best to keep your word.

A Facebook page was recently brought to our attention after it had gained traction online over the past few days, where it was created by furious homeowners of a major housing development in Semenyih who accused the developer of going back on their original promises.

What had been promised?

The page’s main objective was to bring attention and force the developer to make changes to what was initially promised.

The developers initially announced that they would be building a 10m Istana-style anti-climb fence.

But they ended up putting up a basic 9m fence.

Houseowners call for action

Meanwhile, a homeowner named Resvin got in touch with WORLD OF BUZZ and told us that she had contacted the developer; however, the issue has not been resolved.

Resvin also shared with us the conversation she had with the developer.

In the conversation, the developer defends itself by saying that the fence is permanent and will not be changed.

Despite Resvin and several other home owners expressing their anger and frustration, the developer appears to be sticking to their decision.

“Please be informed that there is no change of the fencing.”

Meanwhile, in the Facebook group which consisted of other community members, also expressed their disappointment at the decision made by the developer.

“Last time they said fencing will be like the brochure, they’re just saving costs, seriously. Feel frustrated when seeing designs like this,” a user commented.

A couple of users have said that they will not hesitate to proceed with legal actions against the developer for their decision.

Act earlier if possible with your legal right if you feel what they delivered is not as per (the) plan,” said another.

“Will do a site visit and complain to the developer if they refuse to comply with the standard. Then will proceed for legal (action) against them.”

“This is unacceptable and considered as cheating the buyer. Definitely will take legal action,” fumed another.

We hope that the issue gets resolved amicably and peacefully. What do you think about this? Let us know in the comments.
