Despite already being knocked out of the AFC Asian Cup after two group-stage games, the Malaysia football national team, Harimau Malaya, made our country proud yesterday after drawing 3-3 with South Korea in the final group-stage game.
For context, South Korea is ranked 23rd in the world and is one of the heavy favourites to win the whole tournament.

Trailing 2-3 during additional time at the end of the game yesterday at Al Janoub Stadium in Qatar, Harimau Malaya produced a moment of brilliance that will be remembered for years to come by equalising through Romel Morales 15 minutes into added time!
Back in Malaysia, the last-minute equaliser also produced a memorable moment at Dataran MBMB Ayer Keroh, Melaka which had a live big-screen viewing of the game.
Going viral online, a video of reporters interviewing Youth and Sports Deputy Minister Adam Adli at the venue during the game has caught the attention of Malaysians.
In the video shared by X user @cheajibsayang, the reporters, from RTM and Melaka Hari Ini were interviewing Adam Adli at the tail-end of the game just as Harimau Malaya scored the equaliser against South Korea.
The Deputy Minister turned his attention to the big screen as Malaysia created the chance and when Morales scored, Adam Adli straight out left the interview to celebrate the goal with the crowd at Dataran MBMB.
Hilariously, the Melaka Hari Ini reporter stayed still and waited for the Deputy Minister to return and continue the interview but as a few moments passed, he never did and the video abruptly ended.
Even more hilarious is how you can see the RTM reporter jumping and celebrating the goal while the Melaka Hari Ini reporter remains motionless. In the caption, @cheajibsayang wrote,
“I heard that the reporter is still waiting at the scene to continue interviewing YB Adam Adli”

In the replies to the X post, Malaysians were amused at what they just witnessed, with many joking about how the reporter was still waiting at Dataran MBMB until today to continue the interview.
One netizen joked that Adam Adli sneakily took the opportunity to run away from the interview before the reporter started asking weird questions.
Meanwhile, another commenter questioned why the reporters were interviewing the Deputy Minister before the match even ended.
Adam Adli, who is also the Member of Parliament (MP) for Melaka’s Hang Tuah Jaya constituency has since responded to the viral video, jokingly saying that the Melaka Hari Ini reporter was slow in loading what had transpired but is more than willing to faithfully wait.
Melaka Hari Ini then responded to Adam Adli, jokingly saying that for him, they’re more than willing to wait.
