Police officers are in the process of tracking down witnesses related to a politician who holds the title of ‘Datuk’, to assist in the investigations into a molestation case of a woman at a house in Taman Melawati.

According to Sinar Harian, a source shared that the Datuk and his wife had allegedly visited and spent the night at the house of the victim and her husband between July to 15 August, 2020. It was also reported that the victim’s husband is a friend of the Datuk’s wife.

“Early in the morning, as the victim was asleep in the upper-level hall, she was suddenly awakened when she felt she was being kissed and her breasts were being fondled.”

“After the suspect, aged around 50, realised that the victim had awakened, he returned downstairs and left with his wife,” shared Ampang Jaya District Police Chief, Assistant Commissioner Mohamad Farouk Eshak.

The victim initially didn’t make a police report on the incident as she feared for her husband and her safety, as according to the victim, the suspect owns a pistol and has a bad temper.

“The victim also allegedly owes a debt of RM200,000 to the suspect for business matters,” the source added.

Meanwhile, Mohamad Farouk confirmed that a police report has been made on 16 March, and they are in the process of completing the investigation into this matter under Section 354 of the Penal Code.
