2 days ago, open-micer Siti Nuramira Abdullah and her partner, Alexander Navin Vijayachandran pleaded not guilty with bail set at RM20,000 for each of them.

That makes the total bail for both of them to be RM40,000, and the couple cannot afford to pay the bail. As a result, they are asking for help from the public to assist them in paying the bail.

According to their lawyer, they will be setting up a crowdfunding initiative today (July 15) as some people have expressed interest in contributing financially to the pair.

‘We’ve decided to set up the GoFundMe initiative as nothing has happened after their family and friends were given two days to collect the fund,’ R. Sivaraj, the lawyer said.

According to Malaysia Post, Sivaraj also confirmed that Siti Nuramira Abdullah is currently detained in Penjara Setelit Beranang, Selangor while her partner Alex is currently in Penjara Satelit Kuala Kubu Bharu.
