By the time you read this, you’ve attended and left Coldplay’s show, most probably still “daydreaming” about the good times you had at their show in Bukit Jalil last night (November 21).
While many die-hard fans had the golden opportunity to “catch up” with Coldplay at the show and sing along with the British performers, a small number of people had the one-in-a-million kind of opportunity to witness the lead singer of Coldplay, Chris Martin’s “entrance” into Malaysian soil. In a viral TikTok clip shared by @myjienaaa, Chris Martin and other members of Coldplay were seen descending from their jet upon their arrival in KL.
What Chris did afterwards was probably something you did not expect.
He took off his cap and gave a quick bow before he knelt down and “kissed” the ground before he got back on his feet. Jiena, who was in a vehicle nearby was amused and shocked to see Chris’ humble gesture as a guest in a foreign land. His gesture, however, was not something new to him.
According to an Indonesian media report, Chris “paid the same respect” in Indonesia during his previous world tour, right before Malaysia.
“Chris Martin has landed in Malaysia! This guy is just wow!” Jiena said in her TikTok caption.
She also revealed her excitement in attending Coldplay’s show last night, saying “Please just FIX ME, I’m going YELLOW tonight”, some word plays on some of Coldplay’s famous tracks.
Speaking to WORLD OF BUZZ, Jiena, who also attended Coldplay’s show last night in Bukit Jalil said that she enjoyed the band’s performance, which was entertaining.
When asked why she was at the scene when Coldplay just landed in KL, Jiena told WORLD OF BUZZ,
“My boss runs a private jet business. That’s why I was at the airport.”
You can watch Chris Martin’s humble gesture in the viral clip below.
